Advanced Skill Development Level 3 Pistol Shotgun Rifle

Adjust your loadout for the appropriate weapon system the class will be focused on. Carrying a handgun as a backup for Shotgun and Rifle class is necessary for certain drills and aspects of the class.



This course is our Advanced level training for individuals who already understand weapons safety and fundamentals of marksmanship, shooting from standing positions, 4 step draw, down and scan / re holstering, ready positions, loading and unloading, speed reloading, tactical reloading, trigger reset and zero confirmation, how to clear malfunctions, moving off the X. 


This is not a beginner or Intermediate level course. Students are taught dynamic and practical range training relevant to their concealed carry or open carry duty/civilian requirements. 


Exercises on the range enforce the skills of, precision, engaging multiple threats, quick decision-making, shooting while on the move, identifying potential threats, firing in low light no light, proper use of cover, concealed-carry training, one-handed malfunction clearing, firing from awkward and unconventional positions, and verbalizing commands. Each student must demonstrate his or her understanding of the course content through passing a shooting skills proficiency course. In addition to the above mentioned mandatory equipment, the following are ALSO necessary for this school:

  • Back-up or off-duty firearm and equipment. Duty pistol/revolver. Holster may be IWB, ankle, paddle, fanny-pack, or other suitable concealed carry holster. At least one magazine pouch and 3 magazines or speed-loaders are required.
  • Cover garment for concealed carry range exercises.
  • 600 rounds of duty or training handgun ammunition.
  • 100 rounds of duty or training handgun ammunition (for off-duty pistol).
  • For rifle, bring additional ways to secure your rifle magazines. Chest rigs and battle belts are recommended. Bring 600 rounds of rifle ammo and 200 rounds back up hand gun ammo. 
  • For Shotgun, be sure to have a way to carry spare shotgun shells. Bring 100 Slugs, 200 00 buck shot, 200 rounds back up handgun ammo.

By the end of class, in order to obtain your certificate of completion, each student must demonstrate the ability to complete each task listed below. 

  • Demonstrate and use the safety circle

  • Transition to support hand
  • One-handed shooting (both hands)
  • Kneeling Drill using both hands and both hands individually
  • High Kneeling
  • Low Kneeling
  • Two Knees Down
  • Use of Cover Primary & Support hand right and left sides of barricade
  • Cover drill
  • Approaching cover
  • Fire from cover
  • Fire from cover using all kneeling positions, high, low, two knees down, right and left sides of barricade. Two handed and single handed. 
  • Target transition drill
  • Multiple target drill
  • Flash sight fire
  • Contact shooting distance drill
  • Shoot & Evade drill
